The binding commissions Terms of Service in the form of an FAQ. Please reach me at email@example.com or DM me on Twitter if you cannot find an answer to your question.
I own all the rights to any artwork I produce unless an agreement is reached and the rights are paid for.
Generally, exclusive rights to an illustration will cost double the agreed upon price for individuals, contracts must be drafted for larger entities.
No, I don't produce explicitly NSFW artwork. Suggestive/pinup artwork is allowed however.
All sales are final. However, in the case of a commission taking longer than the commissioner is comfortable with to reach completion, I may offer the option to refund if no other compromise can be reached.
There will be no refunds once the painting has been started under any circumstances and all refunds past the sketch phase will have the flat price of a sketch ($95) deducted as payment for my time.
Yes, there are a couple ways you can obtain a discount on a commission.
The first of these is by pledging to any of my Patreon that offer discounted commission prices. If you are already a Patron then you will have to provide proof of your pledge.
The second is by commissioning one of my original characters. This gets you a universal 15% off.
Revisions are allowed, within reason, if the prompt was initially detailed (a well thought out text description as well as image references) and the client is unsatisfied with my interpretation of it.
Revisions of any kind will not be allowed at all when the prompt is vague (brief text description, no image references, "full creative control", "I'll leave it to you" etc).
Past a certain threshold, which is decided upon by me, you will be charged for any further revisions.
Design commissions will not be accepted in general if the prompt is vague.
Commissions may be rejected for one of two reasons.
The first being that the character presented doesn't interest me design wise. I have a wide range of tastes in character design so always feel free to take the chance and ask but some things are simply too far outside of my tastes for me to motivate myself to work on them.
The second being that the ideas themselves (the pose, the situation and so on) don't appeal to me.
I encourage everyone to at least submit their ideas to have them evaluated but if your commission isn't accepted it will likely be for one of these two reasons so keep that in mind.
Commissions can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a few months to complete depending on multiple factors (how many other commissions I have to work on at the time, where you happen to be in the queue, how much personal work needs to be done) so I ask for all commissioners to be understanding and patient!
Art, unlike other forms of contracted work, cannot be forced, especially if you'd like to receive a quality end result.
Cleaned up sketches with varying grays, gradients, hatching or screentones depending on commissioner preference.
